The Information Technology Division is tasked with maintaining OPFD’s mission critical data network. This network includes an agency owned fiber optic network and microwave radio network connecting all locations of the fire department. The network and equipment are maintained by a staff of dedicated, competent and certified network engineers and technicians available 24/7. The Information Technology Division is responsible for keeping all network devices safe and reliable. This task is accomplished by keeping all devices updated to the most current technology and software.
